Vivien Durand

Originally from the Pyrenees, Vivien Durand is a Michelin-starred chef with an unconventional journey. Recognizable by his rock look and South-Western accent, he earned his first Michelin star in 2013 at Maison Eguiazabal - Le Bar à Vin in Hendaye. The first Michelin-starred chef to offer tapas on the menu, he revolutionized the culinary experience while drawing inspiration from the greatest chefs. Before that, he worked with renowned chefs such as Thierry Tiercelin, Alain Ducasse, and René Bergès.

In 2014, he opened Le Prince Noir in Lormont, an exceptional place where he earned a Michelin star in just nine months. His innovative and free cuisine highlights exceptional products and passionate producers. Behind his apparent ease, Vivien Durand is a perfectionist: he enhances ingredients with creativity, removing technical constraints to allow emotion to take center stage.

In November 2023, within the ALAIN DUCASSE and MUSIAM PARIS groups, along with exceptional talents: Jessica Préalpato (World's Best Pastry Chef 2019), Florent Ladeyn (Michelin-starred and holder of a green star), as well as creative bakers Pascal Rigo and Arnaud Chevalier and Franco-Brazilian chef Alessandra Montagne, he embarked on an ambitious culinary project at the Louvre Museum.
